Deadline has the scoop that that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has been cast as She-Hulk for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series.
It was reported Emmy award-winning Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao was hired last November and Deadline reported earlier this week Kat Coiro will be directing the series.
Interesting timing for the news with Al Ewing and Jon Davis-Hunt’s The Immortal She-Hulk coming out next week though the two are likely unrelated. She-Hulk is likely getting more attention because of the upcoming Disney+ series as she played a major part in Marvel’s summer event Empyre, was spoken about at length at Comic-Con@Home, and has some of the strongest story arcs in all of Marvel’s backlog. Just read Nathan Simmons review of She-Hulk by Soule & Pulido: The Complete Collection to see what I mean.
