New Santa-centric ‘The Pole’, coming to Syfy’s TZGZ

Syfy greenlights adult animated ‘The Pole’ where Santa’s on the naughty list.

Syfy has added another edgy comedy to their late-night adult animation block in the Santa-centric, The Pole. It stars Bobby Moynihan and Jillian Bell voicing jolly old Saint Nick and his wife respectively where the pair are involved in a struggle for the future of Christmas.

A juicy scandal involving Santa results in a foundational shift in the North Pole. While he wrestles with what’s naughty and nice, Mrs. Claus manages the politics behind toy making in order to ensure things stay on schedule. She deals with the factory elves and their leader, Matilda (Nicole Byer), along with political activist, Helenor (Sasheer Zamata).

The holiday couple must also face the drama outside of work as they raise their two sons, Harry (SungWon Cho) and the heir apparent, Jack (Tim Simons). Jack can’t wait to carry the mantle and has his own rebranding ideas. In addition, local North Pole News Network anchor, Cocoa (Colin Jost), reports on every single detail of their lives on his program, “Morning Cocoa”.

The Pole is expected to debut in 2021 on Syfy’s TZGZ and received a six-episode pick up. It is animated by Yeti Farm Creative with episodes that run 15 minutes. Joining a good mix of fan favorites such as Futurama and new series including Dallas & Robo, The Pole seems to be a good fit for the TZGZ.
