President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was damaged, again, this past Friday and it was reported by the Los Angeles Times a man in a Hulk costume was the perpetrator. On the scene, reports reveal the sidewalk was defaced with a pickax. Certainly not a very Hulk-thing to do.
Fans who are resting easy knowing a Hulk could easily destroy something for all-time should note The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will replace the star, as they do with any star that is vandalized.
“Any star, which is vandalized or destroyed, no matter which honoree it belongs to will be replaced by the Hollywood Historic Trust, a non-profit, non-partisan group,” the chamber’s president and CEO, Rana Ghadban, told the paper.
This isn’t the first time someone smashed Trump’s star with a pickax. It happened way back in 2018, and it happened one other time with a sledgehammer prior to the 2016 election. There’s no word yet on whether the man wearing the Hulk costume did so for dramatic effect, or simply because it was the only costume they had on hand to hide their identity.
In addition to being smashed multiple times, the star was spray-painted with the letters “BLM” in January, and months earlier presumably another person covered Trump’s name with white spray paint.
