Dark Horse Comics has announced a new in-continuity comic book series is on the way set in the Avatar universe. Find it in comic book shops on January 6, 2021.
Titled Avatar: The Next Shadow, the series is written by Jeremy Barlow (AVP: Thicker Than Blood, Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir) and illustrated by Josh Hood (We Can Never Go Home, JLA: Scary Monsters) with covers by Gui Balbi (Alien: The Original Screenplay).
So what’s it about?
Jake Sully can fight a war, but can he keep the peace? Days after the destruction of the Na’vi Hometree, Jake finds himself ill-equipped to defuse the internal conflicts threatening to tear the Omatikaya apart—and perilously unprepared for a treacherous plot to remove him from the clan forever!

Avatar: The Next Shadow #1 (of 4) will be in comic shops on January 6, 2021. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop. The next Avatar film is set to debut in 2023.
Maybe it’s just me, but shouldn’t it be a crime the title isn’t in papyrus?
