Marvel Comics expands Marvel Unlimited to feature new comics 3 months after print

Starting October 19, Marvel Unlimited subscribers can dive into their favorite Marvel stories digitally three months after they hit shelves.

Today, Marvel Comics has announced they’re updating Marvel Unlimited, their digital subscription service, with new comics only three months after going to print. This is a three-month increase from their usual release of comic book stories as the service previously made comics available 6-months after being released in comic book shops.

Marvel has been tinkering with the service of late, like releasing Iron Man 2020 early and offering free access during the pandemic.

Marvel unlimited currently houses over 28,000 comic books spanning from the 1960s to their latest titles. In a press release sent to AIPT, VP of Marketing Jessica Malloy said “Since the beginning of the year, we’ve seen our stories read tens of millions of times on Marvel Unlimited, and we’ve seen a rising number of fans now looking to dive into more of their favorite stories featuring Spider-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, the X-Men, and more.” Now subscribers of Marvel Unlimited can catch up on stories sooner. “No other service can provide this kind of value and access to so many Marvel comics in one place. We’re thrilled to now be able to offer even more to readers.”
