A brand-new Valkyrie debuts in ‘King in Black: Return of the Valkyries’ #1 variant cover

Get your first look at an all-new Valkyrie, designed by Mattia De Iulis!

Press Release

Jason Aaron and Torunn Grønbekk’s King in Black: Return of the Valkyries was announced last week alongside a number of King in Black tie-ins, but today Marvel has unveiled new information on the comic. Most intriguingly, Rise of the Valkyries will include an all-new Valkyrie, designed by artist Mattia De Iulis.

Says De Iulis, “When [editor] Wil Moss asked me to create a new design for a Valkyrie, I didn’t believe him! I’m so excited about this because it is my first experience in this field and I’m really honored to work on this amazing and powerful character!”
