Adventures in Movies! Episode 90: Cryptids, creeps, and crazies

Spooky technical issues attack the show!

Welcome to another installment of 31 Days of Halloween! This is our chance to set the mood for the spookiest and scariest month of the year as we focus our attention on horror and Halloween fun. For the month of October we’ll be sharing various pieces of underappreciated scary books, comics, movies, and television to help keep you terrified and entertained all the way up to Halloween.

In the most Halloweeny episode of the year, computer problems abound. Blake and Nathaniel are joined by AIPT Science Editor Russ Dobler and MonsterTalk host Blake Smith to talk about their favorite Halloween monsters.

The show starts with a talk about Jared Leto’s return as Joker. The four discuss if this is enough to get them to watch the Snyder Cut of Justice League. They also talk about even more delays and the impending end of the Fast & Furious franchise.

On this week’s What You Need to Know, the guys talk about horror tropes. Are audiences more forgiving of them or are they just the most known?

This week’s main segment is about Halloween monsters. Talks of Dogmen, Mothman, and batsquatch are all thrown about. But how does a woodpecker fit into it all?
