Star Wars Black Series: Bad Batch and Asajj Ventress figures revealed!

…along with a Cantina alien who finally got a much needed Vintage Collection upgrade.

During Hasbro Pulse’s Fan First Friday livestream event yesterday, three highly anticipated Star Wars Black Series figures were revealed along with one very cool Vintage Collection addition.

I’m an unabashed Vintage Collection supporter, but the 6″ scale figures we’re getting are so good that we have to start with those first.

One of the best characters from the Clone Wars-era (or any Star Wars era) FINALLY makes her Black Series debut!

Just look at that beautiful head sculpt and detailing…and the metallic soft-looking dress…and the double-ended lightsabers…there is SO MUCH to like about this figure. If you like the Clone Wars series at all (either one of them), then getting this one is a no brainer.

Asajj Ventress will retail for $22.99 and is available now for preorder with an expected arrival in June 2021.

Bad Batch Hunter

After kicking all types of ass in Season 7 of The Clone Wars, the Bad Batch make their action figure debut in the 6″ scale. Of course I’d prefer to have them in 3.75 scale, but just look at how great Hunter (the group’s leader) looks.

Once again Hasbro knocks it out of the park with face tattoos…which is a weird thing for them to be able to flex, but let’s just go with it. The figure also comes with a removable knife which is something you don’t see too often in Star Wars toys.

Bad Batch Crosshair

While we’ll no doubt get the rest of the Bad Batch team in due time, the only other figure announced today was Crosshair. Thankfully he also comes with an incredible facial likeness along with a great array of weapons, including a sniper rifle that can be broken down and put into his backpack.

Also, he gives me an excuse to use this cool gif I made of him.

Star Wars: The Vintage Collection

Zutton (aka Snaggletooth)

The only Vintage Collection reveal was a big one if you have a Cantina diorama (or if you like cool looking aliens). Zutton was one of the first bizarre-looking bar patrons we saw during Star Wars: Episode IV. He’s also a character who has needed an action figure update for a while…although I certainly hope they do something about that red knee joint before the prototype is sent out for mass production.

Zutton will retail for $12.99 and is available now for preorder with an expected arrival of May 2021.
