Marvel Comics launching ‘Heroes Reborn’ in 2021

‘Heroes Reborn’ returns this year, but what does it mean?!

It’s starting to look like 2021 is the year of nostalgia for Marvel Comics as they have announced via a teaser Heroes Reborn is set for 2021. Back on January 11th, Marvel revealed the Clone Saga would be returning but this time it’ll be Miles Morales’ version.

Heroes Reborn was an event that took place from 1996 to 1997 yanking Marvel’s most famous comic books from the main universe into a pocket universe. The stories were curated by Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld, which was a return for them back to Marvel after leaving to found Image Comics. It was an event that sprouted from the mega-event pitting Onslaught–a combo of Magneto and Xavier–against the Marvel universe.

You can catch up on Heroes Reborn via a few epic collection trade paperback reviews here at AIPT. Check out the Iron Man, Fantastic Four, and Fantastic Four Vol. 2 trades for more on that. As our very own Chris Hassan put it in his review, “Breathtaking Jim Lee art distracts from lackluster storytelling.”

The teaser can be seen below, which came with the text, “WHATEVER HAPPENED TO EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES?”
