Earlier today DC Comics revealed Chip Zdarsky and Miguel Mendonça were kicking off a digital-first series called Justice League: Last Ride. The news made it onto Reddit, and Zdarsky himself spent 15 minutes answer fan questions!
Here’s proof of how jazzed Chip was to answer questions.
Customary of Zdarsky, there’s humor laden in these responses. For instance, he joked–or maybe it’s the truth–that he never pitched this Justice League story at all when answering Proan27.
Another user, Coffinfly, asked if Zatanna would show up in the tale, and Zdarsky said he couldn’t say. He did confirm these chapters will be released day and date of DCU Infinite.
Customary of these digital-first chapters the stories are shorter and Zdarsky commented on that by answering Reddit user Kralben, “I will say that one of the fun challenges has been to make 10 pages satisfying with proper cliffhangers. It really accelerates the story, which is nice!”
Finally, many were wondering why he’s doing DC Comics titles at all since he was Marvel exclusive. Zdarsky put that to bed by answering FaultScary7712’s answer.
And finally, Reddit user williamb100 pondered if this meant Zdarsky’s days writing Daredevil are over.
Thanks for the confirmation on not being DC exclusive, Chip!
