The longest reigning IMPACT Knockouts Champion in history has signed with WWE, according to PWInsider. She is expected to report to the Performance Center and appear on NXT, as part of the largest group of female signees in WWE history that Triple H teased last week.
After a short stint under a WWE developmental deal in 2011, Taya Valkyrie began making a name for herself in Mexico as part of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. She debuted in Lucha Underground in 2016, alongside Johnny Mundo, better known to WWE fans as John Morrison. Valkyrie would join IMPACT Wrestling in 2017, and starting in 2019 she held the Knockouts Championship for a record 377 days. Her final appearance for IMPACT Wrestling came on the January 19, 2021 episode of IMPACT.
Valkyrie married WWE Superstar John Morrison in June 2018, and the two had an on-screen relationship in both Lucha Underground and IMPACT Wrestling, leading many fans to speculate on whether or not she will reunite with Morrison on Raw after her time in NXT.
