It is becoming more clear what the upcoming Loki television show is going to be about as Dinsey+ has released a new trailer for the series. Out on June 11, one might argue this series is about the redemption of Loki from a bastard to a good guy. Tom Hiddleston plays Loki, of course, and is joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is the head writer.
Fans of the multiverse may also want to prick up their ears as the term “Loki variant” is used to describe Loki, who may have created an alternate dimension version of himself when he grabbed the Tesseract. That would explain how he could die in Avengers: Infinity War, and yet live in this television series.
Check out the trailer below.
The idea of time travel is used in the trailer too, but maybe that’s a misdirect. Considering Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out in March 2022 the idea of a multiverse is very present.

Watch Loki—the imperious God of Mischief—who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) in the brand-new trailer for Marvel Studios’ “Loki.” The all-new, original series debuts exclusively on Disney+ on June 11, 2021.
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.
