For the first time this season, a new face has cracked the top four in our Top Chef Power Rankings. The quickfire challenge celebrated Portland’s nickname along with an upcoming holiday. Previous contestant, Amar Santana, served as guest judge and he wanted the contestants to create a dish dedicated to the mother figure in their lives that incorporated roses or rose ingredients.
Afterwards, the show hosted its own pop-up drive-in theater night. The chefs were divided into two teams and required to make a menu inspired by different film genres: comedy, drama, action, horror, sci-fi, and romance. The dishes from each genre went head-to-head and the winner earned one point for their side. The team with the most points won and in case of a tie, the outcome would be determined by the highest rated dish.
Check out how things stand after five weeks.
Top Chef airs Thursday nights on Bravo.
