Dark Horse series ‘Lady Killer’ headed to Hollywood starring Blake Lively

The ‘Lady Killer’ film is headed to Netflix.

Blake Lively is set to lead and produce an upcoming adaptation of Joëlle Jones’ Lady Killer. Deadline had the scoop, and the film will be written by Oscar-winner Diablo Cody who has plenty of source material with Lady Killer and its sequel series Lady Killer 2. The film is set up at Netflix as the streaming service has a first-look deal with Dark Horse Comics.

The Lady Killer film has the logline: By all appearances, Josie Schuller is the perfect 1950’s housewife. But when she’s not catering to the needs of her family, she leads a secret life as a highly-trained killer for hire.

Produced by Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment and Blake Lively and Kate Vorhoff for B for Effort fans may have to wait a bit to watch Lady Killer on their screens.

The news continues the trend of comics getting streaming adaptations. Later this week, Millarworld’s Jupiter’s Legacy is set to release its first season on Netflix, and it was revealed last week Invincible will be getting two more seasons on Amazon Prime.
