Yesterday, Netflix released a new teaser for the fourth season of Stranger Things. This is definitely a “teaser” in the sense that it gives information about the plot, but it definitely appears as though we’ll be taking a deep dive into Eleven’s past during her time at the Hawkins National Laboratory.
In case you were wondering, that’s definitely Dr. Martin Brenner who shows up at 0:29 to receive an insanely creepy greeting from his children/test subjects. Although there’s some speculation that he somehow survived his death in Season 1, it’s still pretty obvious that this takes place long before his ill-fated encounter with the Demogorgan.
Sadly, the teaser doesn’t give us any clues about when Stranger Things 4 will debut, but at least we know that it’s happening sooner rather than later…and that poor Eleven is going to to have to revisit her awful past at some point.
