On Monday, Apple TV+ released a trailer for its highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King’s 2006 novel Lisey’s Story. The story revolves around a woman named Lisey, who is played by Julianne Moore. Two years after her husband’s death, she’s forced to confront memories of her marriage that she’d blocked from her mind.
Since this is a Stephen King tale, you can already assume that things will get weird and possibly terrifying.
The idea for Stephen King’s novel (which I’ll admit I haven’t read yet) came about when he returned home from the hospital after nearly being killed by a reckless driver. That alone has me interested. Add in Julianne Moore and Clive Owen portraying the main characters in King’s macabre tale, and it might be time to sign up for yet another streaming service.
Lisey’s Story premieres exclusively on Apple TV+ on June 4 with two episodes. The remaining six episodes will air each Friday after that.
