Sundance Film Festival 2022 to be hybrid event

Back to normal?

This year’s Sundance Film Festival was a mostly online event. Along with the virtual portion, organizers brought the fest to audiences. The festival partnered with drive ins and local arthouses and theaters to have a small in person component. This included the Q&As and roundtables.

Next year’s Sundance Film Festival is taking another step forward. The 2022 event will be an online and in person film fest. The festival is scheduled to take play from January 20 – January 30. Safety was key for Sundance this year and there is no doubt they will take all precautions to make next year’s a safe and fun event.

“We can’t wait to return to Park City, Salt Lake City — and beyond — for next year’s Sundance Film Festival. The 2022 Festival will take place in-person and online January 20-30. We are in the process of designing a safe and accessible Festival where our audiences and artists can come together to celebrate and discover new work, and each other. Mark your calendars and stay tuned: This summer we will have more details to help you craft your plan and arrange for any travel.”
