Image Comics announces ‘The Silver Coin’ getting new writer lineup

‘The Silver Coin’ to be joined by writers Josh Williamson, Ram V, Vita Ayala, and Matthew Rosenberg.

Press Release

Image Comics has announced Michael Walsh’s The Silver Coin will continue revealing Josh Williamson, Ram V, Matthew Rosenberg, and Vita Ayala are all joining the series as writers going forward. If you don’t know, The Silver Coin is an anthology horror series with a new writer each issue and Walsh’s art in every single one.

“I am beyond excited to continue telling stories in the world of The Silver Coin. The response to the first arc has been overwhelming and it’s provided me with the opportunity to bring in an all-new group of incredible talent for more tales of terror,” said Walsh. “I’m very lucky to be working with people that consistently elevate my own work and push me to grow as an artist and writer. Josh, Ram, Matt, and Vita are all such insightful, creative, and unique voices in the world of comics… I can’t WAIT to show off the horrors that we are crafting together.”

Fans of Walsh probably already saw this news coming as he has been posting teasers of the new creative lineup on his Twitter account.

The series hasn’t been light on creative talent as Chip Zdarsky (Stillwater), Kelly Thompson, Ed Brisson, and Jeff Lemire (Gideon Falls, Sweet Tooth) have already released an issue with Walsh or will soon.

The Silver Coin #5 will feature Walsh on writing and art duties with a story that, “the story reaches back to when the coin’s cruel curse was first minted. In a small New England village, a woman has been accused of witchcraft.”
