Back in April, Marvel Comics announced Peter David and Todd Nauck would be taking on X-Men Legends #5. Out on July 21st, the new story arc is devoted to X-Factor and will have David back and the helm writing the series decades after his iconic run.
Courtesy of Marvel, we have a first look at X-Men Legends #5 below that’s based on an era of X-Men Todd Nauck told us he’s excited to draw. “As a longtime X-Men fan, it’s a thrill and honor to get to be a part of the X-Men Legends series. I was reading Peter David’s early 90’s All-New All-Different X-Factor as an art school student dreaming of the day I would break into the world of comics. I had even drawn some sample pages of this X-Factor team!”
Nauck added the experience of drawing from David’s scripts has been great, “I love working off of Peter’s writing. We’ve done a lot of comics together. I enjoy his pacing, twists and turns, and his great sense of humor.”
“Drawing this two-issue story tapped into my 90’s X-Men memories and nostalgia. I had a great time drawing these Larry Stroman costume designs and characters I care so much about for this new two-parter story!”
