Today, DC Comics has revealed zombies aren’t the only thing superheroes can fight against like in DCeased, as DC vs. Vampires is set to launch October 26, 2021. On the same day, Task Force Z will also release which will feature a supervillain team like no other. Both series have a darker edge and are primed to delight fans looking for Halloween delights.
DC vs. Vampires is written by Matthew Rosenberg and James Tynion, the series will be a twelve-issue maxiseries where the Justice League discovers vampires have been hiding on earth. The series will feature art by Otto Schmidt.
What’s DC vs. Vampires about?
DC VS. VAMPIRES is a special, standalone twelve-issue maxiseries, that will pit the Justice League against a secret army of vampires, leaving our heroes unsure of who they can trust.
Running $3.99 and 32 pages, this series will feature Variant by Francesco Mattina, Jorge Molina, and a retailer team variant cover by Ejikure.
Coming out on the same day is Matthew Rosenberg’s Task Force Z with artwork by Eddy Barrows and inks by Eber Ferreirawhich. This new series features a new team lead by Jason Todd with a team consisting of Bane, Man-Bat, The Arkham Knight, Sundowner, and Mr. Bloom.
So what’s Task Force Z about?
On A-Day, hundreds of Gotham City’s most dangerous and deranged criminals were left dead after an attack on Arkham Asylum and now, they’re getting a second chance at life. A mysterious benefactor is bringing together a new Task Force and has recruited the only person who could lead them, someone who knows what it’s like to come back from a brutal death: Red Hood. Now Jason Todd has to unravel the mystery surrounding this team of the recently deceased while leading a line-up of some of Gotham City’s worst criminals who’ve ever lived: Bane. Man-Bat. The Arkham Knight. Sundowner. Mr. Bloom.
