Watch the new animated trailer for the soulslike Eldest Souls

While you wait for Elden Ring, check out Eldest Souls.

Fallen Flag Studio has released a new animated trailer for their upcoming soulslike game Eldest SoulsEldest Souls follows a lone warrior, armed with an Obsydian blade, traversing a desolate world, going from battle to battle against the Old Gods. It’s described as “a unique Boss-Rush soulslike experience.”

The Dark Souls influence is strong in this one, even beyond the title. The warrior’s blade in the animated trailer at times resembles the souls series’ moonlight greatsword, cryptic NPCs populate the world, and the gameplay features a mechanic where players can earn back depleted health by attacking enemies, similar to Bloodborne‘s rally feature.

Eldest Souls releases for the Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC on July 29.
