Serena Williams and Wonder Woman team up in new digital comic ‘Serving Up Justice’

Digital comic ‘Serving Up Justice: Featuring Serena Williams & Wonder Woman’ launches today.

DC Comics and Critical Mass are teaming up for a new digital comic called Serving Up Justice: Featuring Serena Williams & Wonder Woman which launches today. The series will release one chapter each of the next four weeks and is in collaboration with DIRECTV’s national ad campaign “Get Your TV Together.” Fans can read the comic here.

That campaign features Serena Williams wearing the Wonder Woman costume in support of DIRECTV’s new product DIRECTV Stream. The larger media campaign is already live across advertising platforms including linear TV, OTT, connected TV, Out-of-Home, radio, social and digital and will run through early 2022.

“I love the world of superheroes and first fell in love with that world through comic books. It’s a dream come true to be able to play Wonder Woman for DIRECTV,” Williams said in a statement. “I had so much fun conveying such an iconic character on-screen and in our very own comic book.”

Written by Amanda Diebert with art by Cat Staggs, fans can share their thoughts on Serena Williams and Wonder Woman teaming up with the hashtag #DIRECTV or #GetYourTVTogether, which will trigger an #EpicSerena custom Twitter emoji. There is also a Snapchat AR portal that will launch a National AR Lens takeover on Snapchat on October 6.
