Star Wars Black Series: Artillery Stormtrooper figure revealed

One of the few stormtroopers who seemed at all menacing during ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian’ enters the Black Series line.

On Tuesday, James Whitbrook of io9 exclusively revealed Hasbro’s latest figure for its 6″ scale Black Series line: The Artillery Stormtrooper.

The figure is based off a trooper we saw during the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian in ‘Chapter 14: The Tragedy.’ In case you don’t remember, this was one of the few stormtroopers who managed to present any sort of meaningful threat before his entire squad was routed by Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.

In addition to distinctive yellow coloring and a pauldron, the figure comes with a blaster rifle, launcher, and four grenades. It will also have a backpack where you can store the explosives.

The figure is an Amazon exclusive and will retail for $26.49 with an expected arrival in Spring 2022.

This is normally the part of the article where I talk about how great Amazon exclusives are since their preorders actually last. Unfortunately, they are already sold out. Hopefully Amazon gets more stock in soon. I’m not a big fan of classic stormtroopers, but cool variants like this one are always a welcome edition to the toy shelf.
