comiXology adds reading feature and comics on Kindle apps

comiXology now lets users read comics on Kindle apps.

Back in September, comiXology co-founder and CEO David Steinberger revealed new plans and upgrades will be underway for the comics reading app this fall. In an open letter to comiXology users, Steinberger outlined recent wins for the company like comiXology Originals and their collaboration with Amazon back in 2014. This week, comiXology has made it possible to read your comics on Kindle apps.

Users can now use Amazon.com for shopping and now there’s a new feature as comiXology users have the option to view and read their purchased comiXology books on both the comiXology and Kindle apps. Users can actually switch back and forth anytime.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

comiXology released a video highlighting the feature as well as acting as a guide.

The video gives users a three step process on how to switch as well as lets you know how to keep your comics and books separate if that’s something you’re interested in.
