On Friday, Borys Kit of the Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Ahsoka series on Disney+. While this sounds like a headline you’d find on a clickbait sites your annoying aunt shares, a report from THR pretty much means you can bank on it.

What’s not clear at this point is how Anakin would appear alongside Rosario Dawson in a series set 5-10 years after his death. While a flashback to their time during the Clone Wars seems like the obvious choice, it’s just as likely that he would appear to her as a force ghost to provide guidance and/or encouragement.
While I know that second options doesn’t sound nearly as exciting, it would almost certainly have to include the pair finally hashing things out after their battle on Malachor. It would also serve as some badly needed closure for those of us who’ve watched Ahsoka through Clone Wars and Rebels.
Whatever the case, it’s exciting news. Christensen’s previously announced appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series already has Star Wars fans buzzing, myself included. If we end up getting confirmation on Ezra Bridger and Thrawn showing up in the Ahsoka series (which has nearly happened already), then our fandom’s collective head might explode.
