Microsoft shows off Halo Infinite’s campaign in new trailer

Join Master Chief on another exhilarating adventure in Halo Infinite.

Microsoft and 343 Industries gave Halo fans a fantastic overview of the upcoming Halo Infinite‘s campaign mode today. The six-minute trailer showcases various ways series protagonist Master Chief can take down members of the Banished, the game’s enemy mercenary group formerly of the Covenant. The destructive power of Chief’s vehicles, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, and trusty assault rifle are on full display.

The game kicks off with Master Chief acquiring a new AI named The Weapon. Together they will search for Cortana while battling with Banished forces who have been decimating humanity. It will be the first main series entry in the Halo franchise since 2015’s Halo Guardians.

Halo Infinite was originally supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S, but was delayed from November 10, 2020 to December 8 of this year. While it will cost a standard $59.99 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be free-to-play. No official word yet on a battle royale mode, however.
