World of Warcraft announces ‘Eternity’s End’ content update

Get ready to travel to Zereth Mortis, the ‘workshop’ of the First Ones.

Blizzard today released a Developer Preview video for “Eternity’s End”, the final content update of World of Warcraft‘s Shadowlands expansion.

In this final act of Shadowlands‘ stories, players will travel to Zereth Mortis from a portal opened by The Primus.

“Zereth Mortis was created by the First Ones,” explains Maria Hamilton, Lead Quest Designer. “It was intended to create afterlives.” It’s “tucked away in the fabric of the Shadowlands itself,” and the “workshop” of the progenitors of the Shadowlands. “The First Ones built the universe as far as we know, but their intentions or methods are completely unknown.”

The Jailer’s presence threatens the First Ones’ work, and it’s up to the players to stop him.

The new raid will be the Sepulcher of the First Ones, which will see the return of class-specific tier sets.

The developer update, which you can watch above, is very story-heavy, with little details about gameplay. No release date has been given at this time.
