Marvel Legends: ‘Hawkeye’ Clint Barton and Kate Bishop figures revealed

No word yet on a Pizza Dog pack-in figure.

On Friday, Hasbro revealed digital renders of two upcoming Marvel Legends figures from the Disney+ Hawkeye series. As you likely could’ve guessed, they were series leads Clint Barton and Kate Bishop.

On one hand, I’m glad to see these figures entering the Marvel Legends line, especially considering how enjoyable the series has been thus far. Unfortunately, their digital renders leave much to be desired.

The Clint Barton facial portrait is barely passable as a likeness for Jeremy Renner. I’m not sure if things will improve once Hasbro’s photo real technology is used on an actual mold, but the Avengers: Endgame Hawkeye figure from a just a few years ago doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Then you have the Kate Bishop facial portrait, which doesn’t look a THING like Hailee Steinfeld. The portrait is so off, in fact, that it makes me wonder if Hasbro/Disney were unable to secure the rights to her likeness.

Also, how you can make one or both of these figures without including Pizza Dog (aka Lucky) as a pack-in?

Whatever the case, there’s still plenty of time for these issues to be remedied. No release date, exclusive status, or pricing info has been revealed yet, meaning that Clint and Kate are a long way from being available for preorder. Let’s hope someone at Hasbro is hard at work on a great new golden retriever mold as we speak.
