Today, Marvel Comics has teased #XMenVote 2022 with the promise of polls opening soon for their second XMenvote ever. This isn’t the first time fans got to vote, as in January 2021 X-Men fans were surprised to learn they could vote for the starting lineup of the X-Men and it appears it’s going to be an annual thing. Giving readers the chance to get one of their favorite mutants on the team was an exciting opportunity.
We here at AIPT had a blast with the vote, including deciding which of the mutants up for the team had the best hair as well as analyzing the candidates.
The 2021 X-Men vote did more than just let fans vote on the lineup on the team, but also turned into a yet-to-be-released one-shot. Secret X-Men is coming out on February 9th and features all of the characters fans could vote for. There’s no telling what this vote could mean as far as future one-shots, the lineup itself, and the stories we might expect in 2022.
Judging by the fact that the voting for the X-Men lineup started on January 26th we can assume voting in 2022 will occur on or before that date.
