Just under three months after announcing a hiatus, Ring of Honor has announced its return to live wrestling with Supercard of Honor. Supercard of Honor is scheduled to take place at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on Friday, April 1, the beginning of WrestleMania weekend.
Ring of Honor announced a hiatus in October to “reconceptualize” the company after being hit especially hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. The company did not vacate any titles, but allowed contracted wrestlers to work anywhere they wished, effective immediately.
In the mean time, Ring of Honor has been represented in various other promotions — most recently, ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham defended his title against Chris Sabin at Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill event on January 8. Several other Ring of Honor talents, including Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, also appeared on the show, seemingly indicating a working relationship between ROH and Impact, at least until ROH finds its footing.
No card has been announced for Supercard of Honor as of yet. More information on this show as it develops.
