Our Channel Surfing TV picks this week include two shows about raising children and a miniseries you probably wouldn’t want them to watch.

In the Channel Surfing TV picks this week, we have a pair of shows showing the difficulties of raising children and a miniseries you probably wouldn’t want your kids to watch. A young superhero continues to manage his emerging powers in Raising Dion season two. Explore one of the biggest couples of the 90s along with one of their most infamous moments in Pam & Tommy. Then, the struggles of humanity are brought to the planet of Keppler-22b in the new season of Raised by Wolves.

Foes: Old and New

Raising Dion follows a single mom named Nicole and her son who begins to manifest strange abilities. At the end of the first season, it seemed as though the titular character was able to defeat the dangerous Crooked Man.

We now fast forward two years and Dion is training to harness his powers at the biotech company, Biona. While there, he meets other powered kids that he becomes close to. However, Biona might not have the best intentions and might be looking to exploit gifted individuals. Meanwhile, a familiar threat is buying time and building up his power.

Binge the entire new season of Raising Dion beginning Tuesday, February 1, on Netflix.

The Greatest Story Ever Sold

For a time, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee had one of the most high-profile romances. They were an entertainment power couple bringing together the world of music and television. The pair had a tumultuous relationship and their marriage only lasted several years.

The upcoming miniseries Pam & Tommy is a depiction of the time the two of them were together with Lily James and Sebastian Stan in the lead roles. It will cover all their highs and lows including the scandal involving the unauthorized release of their sex tape.

The first three episodes of Pam & Tommy will be released Wednesday, February 2, on Hulu.

Humanity’s Last Hope

In Raised by Wolves, a great war between atheists and believers has decimated Earth and the last survivors of humanity have headed out to space to find a suitable planet to restart civilization. Two androids have settled on the planet Kepler-22b to start up a colony to raise children. The land is unforgiving and the conflict of the home world has caught up with them.

This season, Mother, Father, and the children join an atheist colony in the tropical zone of Kepler-22b. It’s difficult living amongst these new strangers but the biggest threat could be Mother’s progeny, a giant floating snake.

The season two premiere of Raised by Wolves is Thursday, February 3, on HBO Max.
