Channel Surfing: Awesome TV picks for the week of 02/21/2022

Our Channel Surfing TV picks for the week include a pair of female fronted thrillers and a historical series.

We’re bringing the drama this week for our Channel Surfing TV picks with a pair of female fronted thrillers and a historical series. An FBI agent and international criminal play the ultimate game of cat and mouse in The Endgame. Follow a new generation of well-known Norsemen in Vikings: Valhalla. Then Eve and Villanelle try to take down The Twelve once and for all in the final season of Killing Eve.

The New Queen of Crime

The Endgame stars Morena Baccarin and Ryan Michelle Bathé on opposite sides of the law. The former plays a criminal mastermind and international arms dealer who orchestrates a number of coordinated bank heists all throughout New York City. The latter assumes the role of a principled FBI agent intent on foiling the elaborate plan. The two also have a complicated past so things are even more personal.

There is plenty of action and suspense as the two leads face off against each other but the bigger mystery is the motivation behind the crimes. Throw in a pilot episode directed by Justin Lin of Fast & Furious fame, and you have the beginning of an interesting show.

The series premiere of The Endgame is tonight, February 21, on NBC.

Battle for the North

Vikings is a popular historical drama that aired on the History channel and later, Prime Video. It followed the rise of chieftain Ragnar Lothbrok from farmer to Scandinavian king. In the sequel, Vikings: Valhalla, viewers jump in time one hundred years and encounter a new generation.

Tensions between the Vikings and the English are still high and new heroes arise to make history. Watch the epic journey of Leif Erikson, Freydís Eiríksdóttir, and Harald Hardrada as they set out to forge their own destiny fighting for survival and glory.

Binge the entire first season of Vikings: Valhalla beginning Friday, February 25, on Netflix.

The Final Obsession

The two main leads of Killing Eve have had a tumultuous relationship over the course of the show. Their mutual infatuations have resulted in plenty of excitement; however bad things happen when they are together. Catch the last chapter of their story in the upcoming fourth season.

Eve continues her investigation of The Twelve while their members are being murdered one by one. Hopefully, she can find answers before they are all killed. Meanwhile, Villanelle is trying desperately to change from her assassin ways and could have possibly found religion. Can the pair learn from their mistakes or are they destined to repeat them?

Season four of Killing Eve starts Sunday, February 27, on BBC America.
