Last Thursday, March 24th, 2022, the BBC Maestro course launched the first of its kind Alan Moore workshop. Spanning 6 hours, Moore teaches storytelling exploring the idea that writing is for everyone and, as Moore notes, “not just for me and people with my amazing haircut.”
Courtesy of the BBC, AIPT has an exclusive clip to share of Alan Moore offering the three words he tries to bring to everyday conversation. Having watched a few of the lessons it’s my humble opinion Alan Moore is filled with good advice, but also a kind way of teaching. The entire workshop is available now.
Watch the clip below.
Some rather interesting words if I do say so myself!
The lessons range from teaching how to read with an analytical eye and unfiltered advice and unique insight from a true writing purist who values art, writing, and story. Moore’s personal writing journey is also fascinatingly outlined and with over 40 years of writing, you’ll see he continues to inspire his own imagination.
Alan Moore is one of the world’s greatest living writers and has received 8 Eisner Awards, 6 Harvey Awards, and 3 National Comics Awards. Many will note Watchmen as one of his greatest comic works with Dave Gibbons.
