Marvel Legends: ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ toy images leak online

A toy leak of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends wave for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ gives our best look yet at the main characters.

We may not have a trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder yet, but a leak of the Marvel Legends figure wave for the film has given us our first good look at the main characters and their designs.

Spoilers ahead for Thor: Love and Thunder

A shot of the full wave (pictured below) was posted to Twitter by Caiden Reed, producer of the POP! Culture Corner podcast.

Instagram user @ooodifigs posted individual figure shots of the wave to their story along with a tag to make sure Todd (aka Rektangular) saw them and spread the word. Rektangular obliged and reposted them to his account so we could all get a better look without having to screenshot an IG story before it disappeared.

Let’s take a look at each figure and see what it can tell us about this summer’s Norse MCU adventure.

King Valkyrie

Thor Love and Thunder

Even in low resolution, this figure/character still looks awesome.

Gorr

Thor Love and Thunder

This one, on the other hand, has me a bit worried. If the character design holds for the film, then I’m not sure even Christian Bale’s acting skills could make Gorr the God Butcher look as awesome/intimidating as he’s supposed to.

Mighty Thor

Thor Love and Thunder

While it’s hard to see if they captured Natalie Portman’s likeness, I love that we’ll be getting a helmeted alternate head.

Ravager Thor

Thor Love and Thunder

Looks like Chris Hemsworth’s Thor (Thor Odinson) will be joining the MCU version of the Ravagers…or an 80’s hair metal cover band. (Editor note (DB): He’s rad as hell!)

Groot

Thor Love and Thunder

Nice accessories, but still pretty meh. (Editor note (DB): Looks like we’re getting a teen Groot in the film. He didn’t grow up much.)

Star-Lord

Thor Love and Thunder

Very meh. (Editor note (DB): No helmet?!)

Thor

While I love the design, the figure’s name initially had me worried that Thor Odinson would be retaking his mantle by the film’s end. I don’t mind if that happens eventually, but it would be a lot more interesting to have Jane Foster wielding Mjölnir in the MCU for a bit.

Then I noticed that the figure comes with Stormbreaker, which likely means that Foster is still lifting the hammer. That said, it will be interesting to see Thor Odinson ends up wearing this.

Korg BAF

Last but not least, Rektangular posted a picture of the wave’s Build-A-Figure, Korg, courtesy of @actionwithalx. It’s definitely better than the original 2-pack version, but probably not worth buying all the figures just to make him.

Totally digging that belt buckle, though.

While we breathlessly await a takedown request from Hasbro and/or Disney, please let us know what you think in the comments!

UPDATE 4/10

Over on the /r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit, user MarvelsGrantMan136 has posted a high quality photo of the wave’s box art, which gives us an even better look at each character’s cinematic appearance.
