Considering how successful The Batman was with both audiences and critics, a sequel was pretty much inevitable.
On Monday at CinemaCon, Warner Bros. Pictures chairman Toby Emmerich made it official. He also revealed that Matt Reeves would be returning to direct. According to Deadline, Reeves joined Emmerich on stage to thank everyone for their support and express his excitement at diving back into this version of the Caped Crusader.

As expected, Pattison will continue to play Batman/Bruce Wayne. No release dates or production details for the sequel film were revealed, although it’s a safe bet that the studio will want Barry Keogahn’s Joker to show up again after the positive reaction to his extended deleted scene.
Warner Bros. provided CinemaCon attendees with even more Batman goodness via a trailer for 2023’s The Flash. The lucky folks over at Deadline who got to see it claim that Michael Keaton’s version of the Dark Knight was heavily featured. No word on when us normal folks will get to see the trailer, but it’s likely to be very soon.
