Stephanie McMahon taking a leave of absence from WWE

We don’t know for how long Stephanie will be away from her responsibilities at WWE.

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon has announced that she will be taking a leave of absence from the company starting tomorrow, for an undetermined amount of time. She did not provide a reason why, other than to say that she is taking this time to “focus on my family”.

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” the tweet reads. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

This is shocking news as Stephanie has been involved with her father’s company for practically her entire life. She began appearing as an on-screen personality in 1999 and began taking on corporate responsibilities in 2002. She was promoted to her current role, Chief Brand Officer, in 2013.

While Stephanie didn’t provide any details about why she was stepping away to focus on her family, her husband, Paul Levesque aka Triple H, also took a leave of absence back in September following emergency heart surgery. The situation forced him to retire from in-ring competition last month at WrestleMania 38.

We wish Stephanie McMahon and her family the best and look forward to her being able to return to her duties with WWE.
