‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation’ sequel announced

The new series will be titled ‘Masters of the Universe: Revolution.’

During Netflix’s Geeked Week event yesterday, it was announced that Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be getting a sequel series entitled Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

Series writer/creator Kevin Smith also shared the good news via Twitter along with an image that hints at a titanic battle on the horizon. Imagery representing He-Man, Skeletor, and Teela (who is now the Sorceress) is featured.

The ending of Masters of the Universe: Revelation introduced some major plot points that are sure to be explored in Revolution. The biggest one (at least in my opinion) involves the reappearance of Hordak, which could very well lead to She-Ra appearing, as well. Some rights issues would need to be worked out for this to happen, but all the parties appear at least open to it.

Read Netflix’s official description of the upcoming series below:

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is an all-new story that brings the focus to He-Man vs. Skeletor like you’ve never seen them before. It’s technology versus magic as He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and a deadly threat to the Planet in Masters of the Universe: Revolution — the next epic chapter in the battle for Eternia.
