Offseason has been one of 2022’s most pleasant surprises. Starring Jocelin Donahue, the movie is about a woman who receives a mysterious letter informing her that her mother’s grave has been vandalized. The more time she spends on the island she has traveled to, the more she learns about its dark secrets, the people who live there, and her own past.
Written and directed by Mickey Keating, the movie boasts a strong script and impressive visuals. The camera disorients the audiences while heightening the tension. Offseason also uses the camera to great effect. In many scenes, it appears as if characters are addressing the audience.
RLJE Films released the DVD and Blu-ray editions of the film on June 14. We got our hands on an extra copy and are giving it away. You have multiple chances to enter.
