In corporate synergy at its finest, this summer is the summer of Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor. Ahead of her starring role in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, she’ll also be joining Crystal Dyanmics’ Marvel’s Avengers next week on June 28.
The Mighty Thor was introduced to the world Marvel’s Avengers today in an animatic trailer. Featuring art from Takeshi Miyazawa, the trailer gives the characters background. This version of Foster is from an “apocalypse of fire and blood” where the gods have fallen and All-Father Odin has gone mad. The Mighty Thor makes a deal with Loki to take down Odin before she gets sucked into a portal transporting her to the world and timeline of Marvel’s Avengers.
The character’s in-game appearance or gameplay have yet to be revealed. With her release only a week away, that will surely change. The Mighty Thor will be the first new character for Marvel’s Avengers since Spider-Man joined last fall for PlayStation players and the first since Black Panther in August 2021 for all players.
