WWE Raw will have a TV-14 rating starting this Monday

The PG Era is officially over.

It would appear that the PG Era for WWE’s Monday Night Raw is over. According to Andrew Zarian of the Wrestling Observer, Raw will carry a TV-14 rating moving forward starting July 18.

WWE moved back to a more family-friendly, PG product in 2008, in an attempt to win back viewers who were turned off by the lewd, ultraviolent products of the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras, as well as to win over sponsors leery of the company’s practices. While WWE has pushed the envelope somewhat since the squeaky-clean days of 2008, Raw and SmackDown have still largely been family-friendly. We have no idea what to expect this coming Monday, but it appears that will be coming to an end.

Monday Night Raw‘s new era begins this Monday, July 18.
