Obviously, fans of scary films will enjoy it, but even those who do not care for the genre will get a lot out of the show.
Episode one does a good job introducing fans to what they can expect to see. Familiar names like Mario Bava and Alfred Hitchcock can be found. There is also a surprise appearance from a David Lynch film. It is an eclectic show. The 101 Scariest Horror Movie Moments does not just stick to one time period, either. From Universal Monsters to recent releases, different eras are represented. It makes for a much more interesting watch.
There are a number of interviews with horror filmmakers and fans. Joe Dante, Mick Garris, and Gigi Saul Guerrero are just some of the genre creators that show up. These parts are great as they are a mix of what makes the moment scary from an audience man’s technical standpoint. The love the genre garners is found in these segments.

It is a reminder to visit past favorites or check out things you have never had a chance to see. The inclusion of Tobe Hooper and a certain killer doll may seem out of place, but the show will definitely stir conversation.
