NXT 2.0 branding seemingly retired; new ‘evolution’ announced

NXT 2.0 is dead; long live NXT.

After the one-year anniversary of the switch from NXT to NXT 2.0 on tonight’s episode, a video package was shown that seemingly retired the new branding altogether. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative and head of NXT Shawn Michaels narrated the following video, after which the NXT 2.0 logo evolved into a sleek, gold and white logo that dropped the ‘2.0’.

In the video, HBK says:

NXT has been and always will be developing the Superstars of tomorrow. While we will always reflect and acknowledge the past, NXT is constantly evolving, with a focus on the future. Superstars develop and move on, but our message to our passionate fans will never change. We are NXT.
