Just in case this year does not feel spooky enough The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival announced its second wave of films today. The entire schedule has now been made available and individual tickets go on sale this Friday. The lineup is an impressive one that includes plenty of giallo, a look at the works of Stephen King, and plenty of indie genre fare.
The 7th edition of New York City’s celebrated genre event will close with the U.S. Premiere of the “straight cut” of Gaspar Noé’s Irreversible, also a highlight of the festival’s Fear In Focus: French Extremity sidebar, coinciding with the film’s 20th anniversary. The festival will open with the Eva Green starring Nocebo, the latest psychological thriller from celebrated Irish filmmaker Lorcan Finnegan, best known for his 2019 Cannes selection Vivarium, starring Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg
Other screenings at the BHFF include V//H/S/99, the latest installment in the found footage franchise, Give Me an A, a passionate response to the recent overturning of Roe v Wade, and Mother, May I?, a movie about a man whose wife has taken on the personality of his deceased mother. There will also be a number of short films that will make this year’s event one that that will not be forgotten.
The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival will take place from October 13 – October 20. Festival Badges on sale HERE
