If you’re a fan of Community, then you’re no doubt familiar with the show’s “Six Season and a Movie” mantra.
While the beloved series accomplished the six seasons part, fans have been waiting since 2015 for word on a follow-up film. On Friday, Peter White of Deadline.com revealed that our dreams have finally come true.
In a press release yesterday afternoon, NBC Universal announced that a Community feature film will be coming exclusively to the Peacock streaming service. The press release also states that all six seasons of Community will soon be available on Peacock.

Confirmed returning cast members include:
- Joel McHale as Jeff Winger
- Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir
- Alison Brie as Annie Eddison
- Gillian Jacobs as Britta Perry
- Jim Rash as Craig Pelton (aka The Dean)
- Ken Jeong as Ben Chang
While there obviously isn’t news about a director or release date yet, speculation has already begun about what other characters will and won’t return for the film. It’s safe to assume (and probably for the best) that Chevy Chase (Pierce Hawthorne) won’t be back, but Yvette Nicole Brown (Shirley Bennett) has been celebrating the news on social media. Let’s hope that’s a good sign.

Donald Glover (Troy Barnes) was nowhere to be found on the official press release, but Joel McHale did tag him in a celebratory/announcement tweet about the movie — so don’t give up on the dream of seeing Troy and Abed together again just yet!

But whatever ends up happening with the cast, it’ll be great to have Community returning to our TV/laptop screens in the near future.
