William Gibson’s 2014 best-selling novel The Peripheral came to New York Comic Con’s show floor on Thursday in the form of an immersive experience based on the upcoming eponymous Amazon Prime Video Original Series, a sci-fi thriller, starring Chloe Grace Moretz (KickAss).
The popup replicated the Forever Fab 3D print shop — which fabricates products customers order — that Moretz’s character, Flynne Fisher, works at in the year 2032.
In the back of the installation, con-goers were also treated to a glimpse of the even further future 70 years ahead of Flynne’s present day, another key time period in this techno-thriller story while looking out windows at the skyline of a more scarcely populated London around the year 2100:
Is this more desolate future just a virtual simulation or a dire glimpse at the future? Viewers will have to find out when The Peripheral drops on Prime Video beginning Oct. 21st.
