Welcome to another installment of 31 Days of Halloween! This is our chance to set the mood for the spookiest and scariest month of the year as we focus our attention on horror and Halloween fun. For the month of October we’ll be sharing various pieces of underappreciated scary books, comics, movies, and television to help keep you terrified and entertained all the way up to Halloween.
Courtesy of Dark Horse Comics, AIPT can exclusively share the entire first issue of Tales from Harrow County: Lost Ones. Originally published in May, the first issue is written by Cullen Bunn with art by Emily Schnall and letters by Tyler Crook, and it’s based on a story by Bunn and Crook.
If you like what you see below, make sure to check out our preview of the second issue to get a taste for more. Then, grab the entire collection in comic shops and bookstores this January!
So what’s Tales from Harrow County: Lost Ones #1 about?
Cullen Bunn! Tyler Crook! Harrow County is back! The award-winning, Eisner-nominated southern-gothic horror series returns with a brand-new story. Ten years have passed since Emmy left Harrow County. Since then, a lot has happened in town. But what happened to Emmy herself, and what adventures has she gone on since she forfeited her magical powers and left town with the Abandoned? In this epic and essential tale, find out where life has taken Emmy and what dangers lurk in the shadows waiting for in this story that takes place outside of Harrow County for the first time.
“A rare thing–both wonderfully charming and genuinely disturbing.”–Mike Mignola
