Hasbro releases new ‘Andor’ figures for Star Wars Vintage Collection and Black Series

The figures look nice, but are they worth Hasbro’s inflated price points?

Even though London Comic-Con concluded just last weekend, Hasbro still had more Star Wars figures left to reveal. This time it was a Vintage Collection and Black Series entry for StarWars.com’s weekly Bring Home the Galaxy merchandise feature.

Let’s start with the Vintage Collection offering first. Both this figure and the Black Series one will be available for preorder on Wednesday, November 3 at 1:00 PM EST with an expected arrival in Summer 2023.

Cassian Andor (Aldhani Mission)

Nice sculpt, a mediocre portrait, and two accessories. There was a time when this would likely warrant a purchase if you liked the character enough. Unfortunately, with the new Vintage Collection price point of $16.99, poor Cassian is a hard pass.

Vel Sartha

This figure, on the other hand, gets a whole lot right. The facial portrait is a pretty good likeness of actress Faye Marsay and the sculpt/paint look good. It only comes with one accessory, though. Also, as good a character as Vel Sartha is, she hasn’t made enough of an impression to earn a confirmed space on the shelf (although it feels like she will very soon).

Combine all that with the inflated $24.99 retail price for mainline Black Series figures, and this one’s another easy pass.
