Marvel Comics is celebrating what would be Stan Lee’s 100th birthday this month with a full-page tribute in every comic. Stan Lee passed away at 95 on November 12th, 2018. The art doesn’t have an artist attributed to it, but if I were to guess, it’d be Humberto Ramos.
It features Stan Lee standing at the center of many heroes and villains, looking proud, starstruck, and excited to see him. None of the characters look sad, although Ego does look like he’s shedding a tear.
Check out the ad below, which reads “100 Years and still inspiring us all,” and at the bottom, “We love you, Stan!”

Characters in the tribute include (from left to right, top to bottom): Galactus, Human Torch, Green Goblin, Watcher, Ego, Doctor Doom, Doc Ock, Dormamu, Mr. Fantastic, Black Panther, Falcon, Enchantress, Thor, MODOK, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Kingpin, Black Bolt, Iron Man, Thor, Magneto, Thing, Invisible Woman, Wasp, Ant-Man, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Baron Zemo, Medusa, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Mole Man, a Skrull, and finally nine Moloids.
This isn’t the only way the comics industry is celebrating Stan Lee’s birthday. DC Comics is celebrating his 100th with a massive anthology, Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee, out December 28th. The one-shot features new stories based on Lee’s (with film producer Michael Uslan) interpretations of core DC characters from his Just Imagine series of one-shots initially published from 2001 to 2002.
