Fantastic Five: The best comics of the week of December 7, 2022

It’s time to look back and celebrate the very best comics of the week.

We made it to Friday, which means the end of the work week for some, but Fantastic Five for everyone! As we wind down from the past week, we use this as an opportunity to call out the best comics of the week. Let’s take a look!

#5: Batman #130

#4: All Against All #1

Fantastic Five: The best comics of the week of December 7, 2022

Caspar and Paknadel draw you into this curious sci-fi world and shake you with a flesh-frazzled visceral grip. Introducing an alien race that feels incredibly original and fresh, there’s a lot here to enjoy besides the enjoyable action. There’s a carnal violence in All Against All not to be missed.

#2: Poison Ivy #7

Fantastic Five: The best comics of the week of December 7, 2022

Poison Ivy #7 is all the evidence needed to prove that Wilson’s acclaimed series deserved its second arc – and probably a third, and fourth – with a beautiful, important message wrapped up in gorgeous art, exciting action, and a truly haunting cliffhanger ending.

#1: Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #7

Fantastic Five: The best comics of the week of December 7, 2022

Sentinel of Liberty has been, from the start, a force to be reckoned with. The book only gets better with each issue and you can tell this creative team adores the characters they are getting to write. For Captain America fans, this series is once again an absolute must-buy and if we’re lucky, Lanzing, Kelly, and Carnero will get to spearhead more Captain America books in the future.
