Steve Foxe, Steve Orlando, and Alex Sanchez’s social horror/thriller Party & Prey original graphic novel is going to the big screen. The comic, which came out in October 2021, is now in the works as a film under Legendary Entertainment and AfterShock Media. Patrick Brice will direct with a script by Rob Forman. The comic was colored by Juancho! with letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.
“Party & Prey is a tense thriller examining the youth standards that exist within and outside of the queer community, and we’re delighted to bring this excellent comic to the screen for all audiences with Patrick, Rob & Legendary,” said AfterShock Media’s EVP of Film & TV David Sigurani.
AIPT hosted an exclusive preview of the comic back in August 2021, check that out to get a taste of what’s to come.
So what’s Party & Prey about?
Alan is used to being ignored by younger guys, so he hardly believes his luck when lithe, handsome Scott makes a move on him in the crowded gay club. But there’s a wolf on the dance floor tonight, and he’s hungry for fresh prey…
A taboo-breaking queer thriller from co-writers Steve Orlando (KILL A MAN) and Steve Foxe (Razorblades) and artist Alex Sanchez (The Evil Within), packed with twists sharp enough to draw blood.
Forman is no stranger to comics as he’s written Something is Killing the Children and iZombi.
The project will be produced by AfterShock Media and Legendary, as well as by Lee Kramer, David Sigurani and Jon Kramer. Orlando and Foxe are executive producing, and Max Zupanovic is co-producing. AfterShock Media is represented by Neil Sacker from Sacker Entertainment Law.
